Project - Decaying Posts

Tranquillity, minimalism, reflection and mindfulness. All words that have been in my thoughts whilst working on these images. These old wooden posts, located at Saltcoats in North Ayrshire, are slowly decaying into the sea. Helping to reduce coastal erosion, each post appears to have its own individual character and story to tell. I chose the high-key effect combined with long exposures to reveal their beauty.
